Al Shindagha collections tell the story of Dubai, the nation's history and Emirati traditions. The museum is committed to education and celebration of culture. Located along the historical area of Al Shindagha neighborhood, it has witnessed the dramatic development of the emirate.

The carefully curated 21 houses within the district feature interactive technology installations and reveal the cross-cultural aspects of the UAE. Among these houses, you'll visit Al Maktoum Residence, one of the most prominent sites where you can discover the history of this pioneering clan, as well as get a riveting look at the reigns of 19th-century leaders – their decisions, and the important events connected to them.

Please collect your entry wristbands at Al Shindagha Museum Welcome Centre (Visitors Centre). Public parking is available on Al Khaleej Street. Metro/bus/ferry stop: Al Ghubaiba.
What to remember

Not allowed:

  • eating, drinking, and smoking (including e-cigarettes)
  • crayons, markers, wet materials and ink pens are not allowed in the galleries. Sketching and note-taking are welcome in the museum with dry media (pencil and erasers only)

Know in advance:

  • children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times
  • infants (age 0-4) get free admission and don't need a ticket
  • reduced tickets for children and young people (age 5-24) are only available on-site
  • small backpacks and bags may be brought into the galleries. Large backpacks must be checked in at the entrance. The museum reserves the right to inspect any bag or parcel brought into the premises
  • the museum is open from 10 am to 8 pm; last entry at 7:00 pm
  • wheelchairs and buggies are available for complimentary use (subject to availability)

    Ohne Führung ist der Besuch des Museum nicht zu empfehlen . Wir wussten nicht genau weiter. Schade
