What to expect

Depart from Lisbon and journey to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra and explore its incomparable beauty at landmark monuments and attractions.

Take a short walking tour around the village, where sights include the Moorish Castle and the Village Palace. Get the chance to try some of the region's products, and compensate for all those calories you lost while visiting the monument.

The tour includes entrance to the Park of Pena and its gardens (entrance to the Palace is not included).

Then head to the cliffs of Cabo da Roca to see the westernmost point of continental Europe. Finally, return to Lisbon along the picturesque riverside road through the towns of Cascais and Estoril.

Meeting point:
Please meet at the reception of Lisbon Destination Hostel in Rossio Train Station on the 2nd floor. Get inside the station, go to the 2nd floor, the hostel is opposite the train ticket office.
What to remember

Know in advance:

  • The ticket option "with ticket to Pena Park" includes the entrance to the Park of Pena and its gardens. Please note that entrance to the palace is not included
  • Operates in all weather conditions
  • Customers need to bring a child seat for their children. If you do not have one, please contact the local operator to confirm availability. You'll find their phone number on your voucher

Remember to bring:

  • A moderate amount of walking is involved, and comfortable shoes are recommended
  • Please bring a jacket, as Sintra has a microclimate

    It was very nice trip to Sintra but didn’t have much time to go to Peña palace…. It would have been better if we had a bit more time.
