Dit is volledig afgestemd op zo veel mogelijk profiteren van toerisme. Op plaatsen met locale handelaars was op voorhand al afgesproken dat we zouden langs komen voor zo veel mogelijk te verkopen aan een domme toerist. Mooie plaatsen van Dubai werden gewoon vermeden. Alles draaide om zo snel mogelijk iets te laten zien van op afstand en dan naar verkooppunten te gaan waar dan een eeuwigheid onze tijd te stonden te verdoen. Nog nooit zo teleurgesteld geweest in een city toer als deze.
Together with your experienced guide, the tour begins at Marina The Walk, a vibrant area showcasing the modern side of Dubai with its stunning waterfront views.
Then head to Madinat Jumeirah for a photostop featuring the iconic Burj Al Arab.
Next you will drive through Jumeirah Road to reach Al Farouq Omar Mosque. The mosque is named after Umar Ibn Al Khattab, a companion of the Prophet Mohammed, and can accommodate 2,000 worshipers. The inscriptions in the mosque are Ottoman and inspired by the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.
From there, we drive along Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai's main thoroughfare, before stopping for photos at Zabeel Palace and Zabeel Mosque.
Next, we'll explore the cultural charm of Al Seef, where the city's heritage comes to life.
Then, climb aboard an Abra, one of Dubai's iconic water taxis, and cross Dubai Creek to the Deira side at the spice souk. Savor the scents of the souk before your return, where you will be given time to shop at Dubai's famous gold souk.
